City kidz is a charitable organization that, for the past 13 years, has been dedicated to making a positive impact on at-risk children in Hamilton's inner city. Our mission is to instill positive values and morals into the lives of children and to help build a solid foundation for their future, to inspire each child to make positive life choices and to choose to do what is right.

THE JOY AND HOPE OF HAITI  (www.joyandhopeofhaiti.ca)

The Joy & Hope of Haiti is a Hamilton-area volunteer group that travels regularly to the north of Haiti, one of the world's poorest countries, to build elementary schools. In 2002 and 2003, an orphanage for approximately 60 children was built in Cap Haitian, Haiti. Without food and shelter, many of these children would die. Without education, these children will never acquire the knowledge and skills to escape this cycle of poverty.
