Prize Policy: Results will be reviewed after the race, and if time is needed for any reason that may occur, We will review over the following week and issue a result no later the 1 week prior to event. In this case cheques will get mailed out then, if no issues arise with results and they are clear and confirmed, cheques will be given out the day of the race at award ceremony.

Course Details: The 5K route is a single loop along the beautiful waterfront trail, and the service road. The routes is flat and fast! and is certified.

Aid Stations: The course will be marked every kilometer as well as there will be one aid station for the 5K. The aid stations will serve water and electrolyte drink.
Timing: All events will be timed using the chip time disposable chip system. The chip is embedded in your race bib and It is your responsibility to ensure that your clothing does not cover your bib and inactivate the chip. Further, we ask that you don't stop your GPS timing device on top of the timing mat at the finish line. This has a tendency to block the signal and skew your results.
We are happy to announce that the 2024 Hamilton Marathon Raod2Hope will once again be the host of the Canadian Masters 5km Championships!

Once again, the top 3 male and female 5K finishers in each 5-year Masters age group (30+), will be awarded CMA Gold, Silver and Bronze Championship medals.
​
To be eligible for a CMA medal, you must be a current member of Athletics Canada (AC) and you must enter your membership number at point of registration. Please note that your provincial membership (AO, in Ontario) includes membership to AC.
​
Pick up your medals a the CMA table near the finish line after the race. See you there!

Aid Stations: The course will be marked every kilometer as well as there will be aid stations every 3 Km. The aid stations will serve water and electrolyte drink.
Timing: All events will be timed using the chip time disposable chip system. The chip is embedded in your race bib and It is your responsibility to ensure that your clothing does not cover your bib and inactivate the chip. Further, we ask that you don't stop your GPS timing device on top of the timing mat at the finish line. This has a tendency to block the signal and skew your results.

Pacers: There will be pacers available for the following times:
​1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20
Cut off time: While there is no official cut off time for this event, in an effort to be mindful of our staff and volunteers out on the course all day that participants do their best to complete the course in 6.5 hours or less.
